Cancer Dietitian Podcast Episode 1 – Does Sugar Feed Cancer?

December 20, 2018 By Julie Lanford MPH, RD, CSO, LDN

Friends – I have something I’m very excited to announce.

I STARTED A PODCAST!!

Please find me on your favorite podcast app and SUBSCRIBE and rate me (5 stars of course, hahaha!). When you subscribe and provide a review it helps my podcast become easier to find for others.

Just search for ‘Cancer Dietitian Podcast’ and be sure to spell Dietitian with two T’s!

It should pull up an image that looks like this:

It’s been a lot of work and some great advice from others who have done it already, and I’m excited to announce that I have an introduction episode and my very first REAL episode was released yesterday.

My plan is to start with 5 episodes on cancer nutrition myth busting. So I am going in with a big bang and taking on the #1 cancer nutrition myth – Does Sugar Feed Cancer? If you’ve followed me for a while, you already know my spiel.

Episode 1 – Does Sugar Feed Cancer?

Listen to the show to find out how I explain this somewhat complex topic to my clients.

I also spend some time explaining the difference between simple sugars and complex carbohydrates, what makes something a “healthy carb”, why you SHOULD eat carbohydrates for optimal body function, plus tips on which simple sugars to cut back on.

In typical “Julie style”, this episode is full of the practical, evidence-based nutrition information that you crave. With none of the sensationalism, guilt or pseudoscience.

I hope you like it!!

–  Julie
