I hosted my second Cook to Thrive! Virtual Survivorship Cooking Class. It was a blast! Thanks to everyone who joined and a big shout out to Nutrition Intern Elise who helped do most of the planning for the class.
This month we used recipes from the Eating Well Through Cancer cookbook, which is one of my favorites. And thanks to a grant from the Clemmons Community Foundation, any local survivor is welcome to call our office to get a free copy!
If you’re not local, you can order it from amazon. GOOD NEWS! It’s on sale right now!

The Caprese Chicken Bake recipe can be found online here!
Check out my pics from what we made. They are as delicious as they are beautiful!

A plant-based diet has been shown to improve health, help your body function at its best, and save money! Many cancer survivors and cancer caregivers have heard that plant-based eating is recommended, but they aren’t sure exactly what it means or how to know if they are doing it. While plant-based doesn’t mean you have to exclude meat, it does mean including plenty of disease fighting plant foods. Watch this fun and informative webinar to learn practical and tasty ways to transition to more plant-based meals.
