Toasted Trail Mix Recipe

Enjoy this toasted trail mix recipe as a delicious snack on the go or to serve during a social gathering! This recipe is surprisingly filling and satisfying, especially when you have salty and sweet components. Don’t let this simple recipe fool you, it is absolutely delicious and can be made any way you like it!

Once your toasted trail mix has cooled completely, feel free to add your favorite toppings to make the flavor pop!

Toasted Trail Mix Recipe

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 cups assorted nuts (raw and unsalted)
  • 1/2 cup coconut flakes
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. 
  2. On a large-rimmed baking sheet, spread out the nuts and coconut. Sprinkle with the cinnamon and cloves. 
  3. Drizzle with oil. 
  4. Bake for 5 minutes. Stir to coat everything in the oil, and then bake for 5 more minutes. 
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with salt. 
  6. Cool completely before stirring additional toppings of your choice. 
  7. Store in a glass jar or airtight container.
