Protein Smoothie Recipe

March 15, 2021 By Julie Lanford MPH, RD, CSO, LDN

This is a recipe that we used for the Treatment Side Effect Recipes cooking class!

This recipe uses Enu Nutrition products. If you purchased the product, Cancer Services will also be benefitted from your purchase. If you would like to check it out, here’s link with a special coupon code for Cancer Dietitian followers!

You do not have to make this smoothie with protein powder! If you’re someone who eats well and doesn’t have increased protein needs, then you can make the smoothie without the powder, which is what I usually do!

This protein smoothie is quick and easy. It is a great way to get in protein and vegetables in a meal without having to cook a lot. Just get the ingredients and blend them up and you’re getting a quick meal with lots of nutrients.

  • Author: Julie Lanford
  • Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup plain kefir
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1 cup kale
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup of frozen blueberries
  • 1/3 cup juice/milk
  • 2 scoops Enu powder

Instructions

  1. Take all ingredients and put them into a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and enjoy.

Notes

** You could also replace the kefir with the Enu shake that is already mixed up instead of the Enu powder, if desirable.
